Choose the Right Skip Bin Waste Category
Choose a Waste Category
Choose your waste category by looking at the materials you need to dispose of, not simply the type of clean-up. A renovation, garden project or shed clean-out may contain materials that belong in different categories.
General Waste
Choose General Waste for light household and commercial clean-up materials such as furniture, whitegoods, office furniture, scrap metal, untreated timber and suitable garden waste. Building waste, soil, concrete, bricks and tiles are not accepted in this category.
Mixed Heavy Waste
Choose Mixed Heavy Waste when your load contains a combination of household waste, building materials, construction waste, timber, metal, concrete, bricks or tiles. Soil, dirt, sand and clay must not be included.
Green Garden Waste
Choose Green Garden Waste for grass, leaves, weeds, bark, tree trimmings, branches, tree trunks and untreated timber. Keep household rubbish, soil, rocks, masonry, metal and treated timber out of the bin.
Clean Soil and Dirt
Choose this category only when the entire load consists of clean soil or dirt. Turf, garden waste, concrete, bricks, timber, metal and general rubbish will contaminate the load.
Concrete, Bricks and Tiles
Choose this category for a clean load containing concrete, bricks and tiles only. Do not mix in soil, sand, household waste, timber, metal or other renovation materials.
Mixed Loads and Separated Loads
Mixed Heavy Waste suits certain combinations of household, building and masonry materials. Clean Soil and Dirt and Concrete, Bricks and Tiles are separated categories that must remain free from unrelated waste.
Choose the Category Before the Bin Size
Confirm the waste category first, then select an available bin size. Some categories are not available in every size, and choosing a larger bin does not allow restricted materials to be added.
Unsure Which Category Applies?
List the main materials in your load before booking. Contact Adelaide Skip Bin Hire PTY LTD when an item does not clearly match one category or when your waste changes after the booking.
