Council Permits
A council permit may be required when a skip bin is placed on land controlled by the public rather than entirely within private property. Permit requirements should be checked before confirming the delivery location.
Public Road Placement
Placing a skip bin on a public road may require approval from the council responsible for that location. Do not assume street placement is automatically permitted.
Nature Strip Placement
A nature strip may also be council-controlled land. Check the relevant council’s requirements before arranging delivery to a nature strip or verge.
Other Public Land
Approval may be required for placement on footpaths, reserves or other public areas. The exact requirements depend on the location and the responsible authority.
Private Property Is Different
Placement fully within private property or on a suitable private driveway is different from public-land placement. Truck access, surface conditions and safe positioning must still be considered.
The Customer Arranges the Permit
The customer is responsible for checking whether a permit is required and completing the application. Adelaide Skip Bin Hire PTY LTD does not currently arrange council permits on the customer’s behalf.

Permit rules, approval processes, charges and processing times may differ between councils. Contact the council responsible for the delivery address for current information.
Apply Before the Delivery Date
Allow enough time to obtain any required approval before the bin is scheduled to arrive. A pending application does not confirm that public-land placement can proceed.
Confirm the Exact Position
Identify the intended placement area before applying. The approved location should match the position requested during the skip bin booking.
Complete the Booking Acknowledgement
Customers selecting a road, nature strip or other public location must acknowledge their responsibility for obtaining the required permit.
No Permit or Unsuitable Placement
When public placement cannot be approved, contact the business to discuss a safe private-property position or another delivery arrangement.
