The requested bin position must be accessible to the delivery truck and suitable for safe placement. Share any property or street restrictions before the delivery date.
Private Property Placement
A bin may be placed on private property where the truck can safely enter, position the bin and leave without damaging the site or creating a hazard.
Driveway Placement
Driveways are a practical option when they provide enough space and access. Keep the intended position clear of vehicles, stored items and other obstructions before the truck arrives.
Road and Nature Strip Placement
Placement on a public road, nature strip or other public land may require approval from the relevant council. Any required permit must be arranged before delivery.
Check the Ground Conditions
Tell us if the placement area is soft, unstable, steep or otherwise unsuitable for a heavy vehicle and loaded skip bin. An alternative location may be needed.
Allow Clear Truck Access
The truck needs a safe route to approach, position and collect the bin. Narrow streets, tight entrances and restricted turning areas can affect the available placement options.
Look Above the Access Route
Low tree branches and powerlines can prevent safe truck access. Check the route into the property and the space above the proposed bin position.
Move Vehicles and Other Obstacles
Parked vehicles, trailers, equipment, gates and stored materials can block delivery or collection. Keep the access route and placement area clear on both dates.
Tell Us About Access Issues Early
Include relevant access details when booking rather than waiting for the truck to arrive. Accurate information allows the driver to assess the requested placement and discuss alternatives where necessary.
Placement Must Remain Safe

Maintain Access During the Hire
Do not allow the bin to become blocked after delivery. The truck must be able to return to the same location and collect the bin safely at the end of the hire.
